LevAR, made by G&G, is a unique and one-of-a-kind gas replica that reinvents the classical lever-action rifles and updates the venerable design with modern upgrades and technical solutions.
The original design is heavily influenced by the AR-15 rifle platform, to the point of incorporating major elements into its construction, namely, the entire upper receivers and magazines. This compatibility makes the replica interchangeable with G&G-made gas upper receivers, including hop-up chambers and inner barrels.
The replica operates like a classical lever-action rifle—it shoots in a single-action mode only with a manual reload after each shot. LevAR is fed from a low-cap, 35-round magazine and is compatible with a plethora of standard AEG magazines. While it is lacking in terms of rate of fire and suppression, it certainly makes up for the fun factor, uniqueness, and aesthetics of the setup. The replica places itself between the bolt-action rifles / pump-action shotguns and modern semi- and full-auto rifles.
LevAR is manufactured from high-quality materials such as aluminum alloys, steel, and durable polymers. The upper and lower receiver, outer barrel, handguard, and muzzle device are cast and CNC-machined from lightweight aluminum alloys. Elements like the magazine release button, screws, and internal components are made from steel to guarantee the reliability of the product. Only minor parts, like the angled pistol grip and magazine, are injection molded from durable polymers.
The pistol grip is outfitted with a Picatinny rail that grants the option of attaching stocks to increase the comfort and ergonomics of the replica.
Contrary to typical gas replica designs, the gas tank is placed in the angled pistol grip rather than the magazine. This allows owners to use all G&G-made and aftermarket AEG magazines, not limiting them to a single, pre-determined choice.
The replica's front is outfitted with a 7-inch-long M-LOK handguard with a single Picatinny rail on top and additional, smaller segments at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. This allows the user to customize and personalize replicas to different setups, as well as personal, game, and mission requirements. Foldable, adjustable iron sights are included in the set.
The utilized 205 mm long inner barrel is attached to a rotary hop-up unit for precise and easy adjustment. LevAR generates approximately 400 FPS depending on the gas used. The covering outer barrel ends with a standard 14mm CCW thread fitted with a birdcage-type muzzle device.
