APEX R5 M12 Gen.2 Assault Rifle Replica - Black
R series manufactured by Classic Army under the Apex brand, under which the manufacturer has decided to cover as many as possible modern technological solutions utilized in airsoft and at the same retaining the low price. The R series concentrates on modern appearance of the receiver - appearance that allows to distinguish Apex series replicas from other AR replicas available on the market. R series are practical solutions combined with updated style of assault rifles. All manipulators are placed on both sides of the replica, which makes it easy to use by both left- and right-handed users. The replica features a special set of functional manipulators: double-sided magazine release button, double-sided bolt-catch release button will certainly become popular with many users and save their skin in various combat situations.
On the inside, the R series uses the same gearbox that Mk.13 series does, however it does not feature Blow-Back in order to improve energy efficiency and extend battery and piston lifetime. A 6.03 mm caliber precision barrel and metal, rotatable Hop-Up (new, improved construction of the Hop-Up chamber) are a standard in the series.
Second generation Apex rifles in R5 platform feature countless improvements in terms of internal mechanism functions. All polymer elements were replaced with low-temperature resistant polymers, including the trigger switch and piston. Gears were made from high quality steel in order to achieve remarkable durability. Low-resistance wires were additionally exploited with MOSFET module, which “circumvents” the trigger switch and as a result reduces the energy consumption, improves reaction to the trigger and reduces thermal stress of internal elements.
The receiver of the replica, flip-up iron sights, handguard, outer barrel and stock slide were made from metal, while the stock and pistol grip were made from polymer. Steel elements include the flash hider and all assembly elements - pins, springs and screws.
The replica comes with a Hi-Cap 300 BB steel magazine.
