The APS company’s ASR111 carbine replica is an innovative construction which is equipped with a gearbox which has got a special hybrid construction and which is named as the “APS Hybrid Gearbox”. The ASR111 is made on the base on the typical construction of the popular american carbines and is equipped with theRAS Guardian RTS assembly and a free-float type steel outer barrel (the so called free-float barrel system). The top RIS rail allows to mount any optical aiming devices such as a scope or a red-dot sight, yet by default it is a base for mounting the flip-up type iron aiming sights which are precisely made of durable plastic, the so-called APS Rhino Iron Sights. The iron aiming sights demand special attention – they allow to shoot from both, low and high profiles., thanks to the possibility of setting the iron aiming sights in two positions.
The replica is equipped with a multi-position stock which holds the battery and it is also equipped with an ergonomic pistol grip. Also the RAS Guardian assembly is extremely functional and comfortable in use, while as its forward construction allows to place the shots with the use of different support methods.
The RAS Guardian RTS (Rail Transformation System) is probably the most characteristic feature of the replica. The rail allows for a full adjustment for the user’s individual needs. It is possible to attach normally placed RIS rail segments on the RTS rails (top, bottom, right side, left side) and it is also possible to place them in intermediate positions (left-top, right-down and so on). The replica includes a RIS rail with a QD mounting point, a QD attachment and an angular tactical grip.
The new “APS Hybrid” type gearbox is the heart of the replica. It is designed and made in an innovative and more user friendly way and due to the comparison tests conducted by the manufacturer is 33% more effective in the energy use range in comparison to the default unit. It is equipped with a quick main spring replace system which allows the user to change the BB pellet’s muzzle velocity without the need of opening the gearbox. Despite this, the construction is absolutely compatible with the majority of the tune-up and spare parts which are available on the market and which meet the TM V.2 standard, this allows an easy tune-up of the replica if need be.
The reinforced torques are placed on 7mm metal bearings. The electric unit consists of a silvered, low-resistance wiring, the replica’s motor is equipped with a metal core. The cylinder and the semi-precision 6,05mm wide barrel are made of stainless steel.
The replica is equipped with the EBB system – an electric system which imitates the operation of the bolt carrier. It improves the realism of using the replica by making it more similar to the original firearm an, at the same time, it ensures additional pleasure of shooting.
The reasonable, as for an assault rifle, muzzle velocity of about 410 FPS in combination with the optical length of the inner barrel and its minimized diameter makes that the replica is perfect for assault operationg and for placing shots on middle distances with high effectiveness and precision.
